Thank you!
Absolutely the secrets and mystery bring about suspense and therefore arouses curiosity which makes the reader more glued to the book.

I'm not usually a fan of Romances but after reading this review I think I might give it a go.

I've read books before that involve switching perspectives between characters and really enjoyed this structure and so I'm excited to read more in the same style.

Also, as a person interested in psychology the use of the characters traumatic backgrounds being an important part of the narrative sounds very interesting.

I enjoyed this review! I feel like I can relate with Emma and some of the things she feels. I’m not usually someone who enjoys romance. From this review though, I think I need to read this book.

Romantic novels are not my genre. Though Mike seems to be a mysterious character. His past appears to be dark. I hope it endures those who are well interested. Thanks for your review.

I can't wait to read the book. I enjoy romance stories quite a lot, but upon reading your review, I have prepared myself for any redundancies that I may encounter along with the different genres tackled. Thank you for your review!

What a great review. This sounds like not only a romance novel but also an emotional story with characters that have colourful personalities. I look forward to reading it.

I don't generally go after romance novels like this one. However, character growth is something I enjoy in books and I'm hoping today's book will have some of that.
Thank you for a well-written and detailed review.

I don't think I'd be reading this book as I'm more into romantic comedy rather than something emotionally heavy as this. I feel like it's going to hit too close to home. You mentioned trauma and how Mike and Emma feel like they're not good enough for the other person makes it relatable. I also agree with you about mentioning dates during flashback. I recently read a book where the story occurred over a period of years, but the lack of dates made it confusing for me.
I enjoyed your review. Thank you and well done!

I don't particularly care for romances, so I'll be skipping this book. However, from the pages that I read, it's clear that the author is a terrific writer. The beginning of the story is quite captivating. Congratulations to the author on achieving BOTD.

The beginning of the novel made my heart ache. The review says it develops into a romance, however it hurt me to read about such an unhappy start in life...Well-designed characters make a good book and, according to the review, this has a few interesting ones. Worth reading!

This is the mixture of a dark life one side and depressed life at other side, when they meet they get emotional touched..It is a new hope for depressed soul. Very appreciable.

I like the early part of the story and the character of Mike which revealed what he had endured in his childhood years. I enjoyed the way the two protagonists met and feel this will be an interesting book to read. Thank you for the excellent review on this book.

The book has a great character depth. You have two individuals falling for each other but even individually they have so much going on which really adds to the authenticity.

Thank you for a fantastic review. It sounds like an atypical romance story, intriguing and suspenseful. I like the mystery surrounding Michael and Emma.
