I am definetly going to read this book after this review. I am a teenager and huge fan of lovestories. I found that i can relate myself to Mitchell a young boy who fell in love with April for her intelligence, and beauty. Their passionable and desirable relation push me through the book . I am sure their will be more emotions and drama in the story and how they deal with that . But behind this i really liked this book .Thanks for this great review :techie-studyingbrown:

This sounds like a hog coming of age and young love story. I like that it includes links to specific songs that complement the writing. It means the author was looking for a specific feeling when writing the book. Teenage love is always sweet and high school can be so difficult and dramatic, but such a small part of life. Is good to hold onto that time.

When one falls in love, his life must change, just like April. Since this book is primarily a teenager's book, I don't see myself in that world.

This book is about April Schweiter rapid moving from adolescense to adulthood. April is thirteen years old when her life starts changing. She meets Mitchell Hudgin and instantly falls in love with him. April is the head of the cheerleaders and very popular in school. Mitchell is a handsome young boy who adores April for her confidence, intelligence, and beauty. Their relationship begins and is full of passion, desire, and sparkle. Unfortunately their love story is like a rollercoaster ride due to their indecisiveness and because of April’s controlling mother. Having raised two daughters I saw how controlling parents interfere in their children's relationships. Personally I do not think high school teens should develop passionate relationships since they have so much of their lives ahead of them and while they could end up marrying a high school sweetheart they need to broaden their horizons while in college. April and Mitchell do manage to get back together by the end of high school but have to soon part ways to go to college. Will their relationship survive? Read the book to find out.

If the book is about a path into adulthood, then perhaps it should be recommended to the cohort that it is about. From your review, it is evident that there are real life issues relevant for people who aren't yet adults.

This books seems suitable to a younger audience. I'm sure many teenagers will find it relatable and interesting. Thanks for a great review!

I’m a hard sell when it comes to romance novels, including for young adults and high schoolers—perhaps even more so with the latter, considering they’re often over-idealized. Still, this one sounds sweet, nostalgic, and well-written, so I might give it a chance. Thank you for the helpful review.
