I feel like this would be a good read with what I have read in the first few pages of the book...with the hope in Lily's life, I'm eagerly waiting to read the rest... :tiphat: :tiphat:

This romantic historical book is definitely what romance fans would like to sink their teeth into. I love it that it's full of adventure and hope. However, I'm not a fan of this genre, and I'll pass it on. Otherwise, congratulations on the BOTD.

I have just picked up this book to read and your review is so wonderful that it just makes me want to sit and start reading it right now. I'm looking forward to reading the experiences of Lily and James. Thank you for your review!

Beautiful story. One reason I'll read this book is to walk with Lily as she finds freedom through knowing James. I think the name of the book is long though.

This definitely sounds like my go-to book. A story of a woman on a journey to find herself and her mother, being able to play the piano, finding a friend in the master's son- the plot feels intriguing. Beautiful review!

Historical Romance is not normally something that attracts me. However, this story of the life of a slave and the intensity of emotions portrayed is hard to ignore. The scene where Lily is ripped from her mother is described so vividly I felt I was there. I'm intrigued to find out how far Lily goes with her piano playing. Thanks for the lovely review. Thanks for the free copy.

I think this book is touching on how it broaches on the subject of current day slavery. Nice review.

Thank you for the great review. After reading the sample it sounded pretty good, but I was wondering about the erotic parts. I'm glad to hear that you didn't think they were too graphic. I just might consider reading it.

The Prodigy Slave, Book One: Journey to Winter Garden by Londyn Skye is a thriller and a story of a mother-daughter. The story seems to be full of excitement. Congratulations on #BOTD.

I'm always on the lookout for a good historical romance. This one seems like it's right up my alley with the added benefit of being a well-researched book on a sensitive topic. Thank you for your wonderful review, I've downloaded it to my kindle for a go-to read!

I wish all Americans would read a book about being a slave in the U.S. The horrors of the punishments these people suffered should be exposed to all Americans, especially the white supremacists that believe slaves never existed. This is an integral part of American heritage and cannot be whitewashed over by white supremacists. I marvel over the courage so many decendants of American slaves have demonstrated as they have strived to overcome the prejudice and injustices suffered by blacks in America. The official review gave this book a 3 out of 4 star rating. I would need to read the entire book to rate this book but I did like the sample I read.
