Highway to love by Dani Burke. Two friends working in the same firm.Alexis is engaged to Richard who doesn't seem to share the same desires as Alexis in the love making department and Alexis is telling her friend Steph that things might get better once her and Richard get married. But it seems to me that Richard is just a screw in that department and Alexis is wasting her time.

Love, one of the most beautiful feelings ever. Some would think that whenever this feeling is felt then all else comes second. However, this doean't mean success always come whrn you let love lead. Nice review.

After reading the sample piece for this book, I agree with the review's overall opinion and those replying concerning the consistency in point of view and speak. Setting aside my personal prejudices against what I perceive as a naïve and weak woman, I couldn't find any emotional connection for Alex while studying her thoughts and nuances without confusing her with her friend, Sam and sometimes, the love interest, Joe.

Due to the choppy POV and what appears to be a few typos where the wrong gender possessive pronoun is being used, this story is currently hard to follow. However, with strong editing I have no doubt the storyline would intrigue many readers. I must admit, although it took a bit of back reading and guessing who thought or said what, the plot does really suck you in. I'd very much like to read the book cover to cover once it is polished and I can be pulled into the story rather than using energy to attempt to follow it.

Not a fan of romance, but this one sure does sound promising. I like the way you've, in detail, described the characters and their personalities. I may read it someday. Thanks for recommending.

The story seem to be a page turner. Unfortunately, I don't fancy reading romance books. I'll skip this book.

It sounds like it has a great beginning where I m going to like the characters and get sucked in by the romantic drama of which will Alexis choose. Every woman respects and appreciates a woman who is ready to save herself. However, I don’t think that it’ll get on my nerves too badly because flaws like being slow to see evidence of negative action, or failing to leap on a problem right away is what makes the character more believable as a flawed but well meaning leading lady.
I think it’ll be interesting to see how she saves herself once she gets around to it.

Romance is not the genre I would usually pick. Alexis seems like is the kind of character who gets lost in the charms of passion having difficulties in making decisions. Sounds interesting, but I think I'll skip this one. Thank you for your lovely recommendation!

Female characters acting like damsels in distress really get my gander up, and seeing as I don’t like romance, I won’t be reading this book. Also the part of your review where you mentioned the sudden shifting between past and present tense - well, that puts me off a book or a story almost straight off, so thanks for the warning!

The relationship problems explored in this book are realistic. I am impressed that Joe is portrayed as a patient person and that he goes to great lengths in helping his friend, Mike. Great review.
