Nothing beats the power of love and incorporating the next life as different people made the story more exciting! This is definitely going on my to-read list and I can't wait to be fascinated by the story. Thank you for writing a exceptional review!

This seems like it could be an interesting ridirci historical fiction with a little supernatural theming, but the writing style of the sample really didn’t do it for me, unfortunately.

Your exploration of themes like love, loneliness, mercy, and appreciation demonstrates a deep understanding of the characters and their journeys. I appreciate how you've highlighted the impact of circumstances beyond our control on romantic relationships – it's a theme that resonates with many.
Your mention of the importance of physical intimacy in relationships adds another layer of complexity to the narrative. It's intriguing how the characters' experiences mirror real-life complexities.

This book is not only a fictional story but points to the sad reality of mismatched couples and their traumas through the characters of Mark and Marla. Many people can relate to the protagonists' dilemma. I would like to know more about the storyline and how it ends.

While sampling the book in Amazon I found the story slowly building up and getting ahead comfortably. The story flows in a simple language and interest is maintained.
The review is well made and seems to have covered all the salient features of the book. Thanks for a nice review.

Step into a heartfelt journey through time and emotion with 'The Fifie' by Marco Collina. Set against Scotland's captivating backdrop, it intricately weaves love stories of Maureen, Marcas, Mark, and Marla. Themes of enduring love, the consequences of heart-diverting, and destiny's role entwine with realism and the supernatural, creating an enchanting tapestry. Loneliness, mercy, and intimacy's essence resonate deeply, as characters navigate intricate relationships.

I love that this book is supposed to be a romance but stands out from its genre by actually BEING a romance in a much more realistic sense based on your description.

Even at an age when my mom read me bedtime stories, I started getting very upset till I finally told her “no more!” When I was about 2. She was very taken aback and asked why when I always loved it so much, I said “Because!, That’s NOT how people really act and everyone doesn’t always get to be happy at the end! These stories are dumb!” So we started on LOTR lol.

The point of this is, even though I love sci-fi/fantasy among other genres, if the characters aren’t realistic with their emotions for the situations it’s not very good writing. Romance, much less love, isn’t easy, clean or summed up in a nice neat story. It’s messy, it takes all kinds of forms, and it often doesn’t work out.

Excellent review, the sample didn’t interest me much, but this actually makes me want to give it a read.

The Fifie" by Marco Collina is a captivating journey through time and emotions, set against Scotland's backdrop. It delves into intricate love stories of Maureen, Marcas, Mark, and Marla. Themes like enduring love, the consequences of straying, and circumstances' role in romance are elegantly interwoven. Realism blends seamlessly with the supernatural, enchanting readers with universal truths about love.

Although the book contains many themes like loneliness, love, infidelity, and more, it is not a book I would like to read because I am not keen on reading about the supernatural.

Maureen and Marcas meet as Marc and Marla. Did they recognize themselves? Would their love still flourish? Their story sounds interesting. Good review.
