For me, it would've personally been better because I just adored her character and storyline, however, I can easily see how people would like the other storyline just as much if not more. Great review. It gives me thought whether to give this book a go or not. I also don't bode well with meaningless graphic sex scenes embedded in a book but as it seemed part of the plot on illicit business it would pair well. Thank you for your insight. Maybe this is not my cup of tea.

It's great to hear how strong the characters and their relationships with one another is here in this read. However, I don't tend to like too many sexual scenes, including BDSM. Add this with the less-than-interesting ending, and I don't think this read is for me. I'm glad that you were still able to enjoy most of this book though!

I read just enough of the beginning of this book to want to know what happens to Laura and what exactly is going on with her husband, but as others have said, this is just not my genre. Erotica and BDSM make it complete no go's. But it was a great review, thank you.
