The story in the book seems to be based on a biblical narrative. However, I, like many people, do not believe in the Bible, so the story may not be relatable to them. For this reason, I'm going to have to pass on this. Congratulations on this stellar review!

I liked the story of Job and his wife Ix'ises. I liked how the author tried to piece together the information contained in the Bible into a relatable story. Thanks for the review.

I've known about the story of Job since I was young, but I've never thought about how his wife felt about losing everything in a day. Cynthia Koelker did an excellent job putting this together. Congrats on BOTD.

This book had nothing to dislike, which is really uncommon but this one drew my attention. Amazing prose may be found at the beginning of each chapter. They add a little bit of interest to the chapters. I thoroughly appreciated this book, which did a lot to broaden my perspective. Congratulations to the author on BOTD and thanks for the review.

an author finds a unique perspective such as this. The story of Job has always interested me - all that he lost and yet to still maintain his faith. I would be interested to see how the author explores Job's wife and in turn Job himself.

This story about the wife of the Biblical character Job seems to have an approach that vindicates her as a human being. What is generally known is that she asked Job to curse his God. I find the nuance of romance attractive, retaining the essence of the biblical story in many aspects. Sounds interesting.

I will have to pass on this one. Am not a fan of religious books. Great review though it will
be a great read for the appropriate audience. Congratulations on BOTD!

This is a great and unique story that has a totally new perspective on the mystery of Job's predicament and the role Ix'ises played. It has been made crystal clear to many people that she also has a right to react that way because of her grief. It is not surprising, because she is human after all. I like how Cynthia Koelker thoughtfully wrote this book, to shed light on this unpopular story.

Wonderful review! I don't read biblical tales. This book shows every human experience of temptation. It sounds great.

This is another astonishing revelation of an unpopular biblical story. The story of Job is packed with a lot of moral lessons. At first glance, one might be compelled to rule out Job's wife as too impertinent. However, if we look at the circumstances she was faced with, you cannot really blame her. I admire Cynthia Koelker for having the courage to write about this story.

I love it when authors take a well-known story and explore it from a new perspective! This sounds like such an emotional and well-written read, I am excited to see how the story of Job is different from his wife's perspective.

This is a fictionalized story about Job and his wife from the Bible. People interested in Job's story or the bible will enjoy this novel. Great review.
