The “good guys” were so easy to love and the “bad guys” were so much fun to hate!
- I like when characters' behaviors are clear too. This sounds interesting. I must read it. Thank you for your fun-review.

Lily and James’ relationship is inspiring and brings hope to the world. This book exemplifies life turning for the better while encountering the most challenging path. Lily is the purest example of true heroism. Thank you for writing an enticing review!

The story of Lily is one of horror, hope, and friendship. The beautiful dialogues in this romantic historical book transform the reading journey into an adventure that does not disappoint.

I can already guess what the punishment was, and I like that you didn't reveal it. But I wish you'd revealed more of the strengths of the book to help me really decide whether to go for it.

It is a beautiful romantic story of a slave girl with exceptional musical talent. It plays off in the era when slaves were the property of their masters and had no rights.

Lily is a slave who has been separated from her mother and trying to find her. Her life is changed completely when she discovers her natural talent for piano.

Romantic historical fiction is one of my favourite genres. This book seems to gather all the elements to create an emotional and dramatic plot. Addressing slavery is another aspect that shows the author's effort to discuss a serious issue through his book. Congratulations on BOTD!

Although I am not usually inclined towards reading romance novels, the premise of this particular book has caught my attention and I am considering giving it a chance.

Thank you for this insightful review, Acwoolet. Although I'm usually not keen on romance, I think I will give this book a try. You made me want to discover Lily's story. Good work!
