Paranormal, fantasy...The story is horror like and though it sounds interesting, it is not my cup of tea. Congratulations on #BOTD

The dream world is a curious subject, but I don't like paranormal romances.

Dark paranormal romance, demons, and dark angels: not for me, but thank you for a great review!

I like the premise from which this book is drawn. Seeing things from the angle of demons is totally new as most movies and books with such plots focus on angels.

I would have to take a pass though. Because of the explicit and sexual content.

This supernatural thriller with a touch of the paranormal sounds like a thrilling read.

This seems like an interesting concept, but the graphic nature of the violence in the book turns me off. Thanks for the thorough review, though.

The romance between Jaime and Collin is riveting, as Jaime’s desire for Collin goes far beyond the physical. There’s chemistry here, but a darker element underpins the attraction: Jaime’s pervasive longing for her own demise. Readers who dislike insta-love scenarios might balk at Jaime’s internal monologues during the early chapters, as she often alternates between wanting to “slit [Collin’s] throat” or “fervently kiss him.” However, a deeper connection between the two is revealed towards the end, partly explaining plot points that might not make a lot of sense at the beginning. There’s destiny at work here, which seemed like too much of a stretch when it was revealed, but it tied in well with Jaime’s backstory. An additional romantic aspect between Jaime and another character is also explored, so readers who enjoy love triangles will find the middle portions of the book quite entertaining.

Thanks for your review.

I'm not a romance reader, and not only do I dislike the insta-love scenarios but all the internal monologues that are at cross-purposes turn me off.

So, definitely not for me.

I believe in the existence of demons, angels, and bad dreams, but I am afraid to read the story because of the dark side of it. I feel very emotional about the acts of demons in our society.

This is an amazing paranormal fantasy romance with a captivating plot that kept me from taking any breaks and an inciteful onlinebookclub review that highlighted the best the book had to offer. Congrats on being the BOTD.

I generally don't mind graphic content. In fact. If done tastefully, I usually find that it adds a significant amount of suspense to the story because the height of the stakes is spelled out for the reader which often keeps people engaged. However, I am fundamentally against people using rape as a way to move a plot along to develop a character so for that reason alone, I probably wouldn't read this book. It is hard enough for victims of sexual abuse to speak out and I do not think its constructive unless it is a cathartic retelling of someone's real life story. In addition I have a HUGE issue with plot incongruencies so that would probably determine me, too. The general plot sounds fairly interesting though. However, the creating of a science fiction or fantasy world requires at a most fundamental level to be handled with care because the storlyline deepends deeply on the ability of a reader to create a realistic image for themselves.

This book sounds so interesting! I love supernatural fiction and especially love supernatural romances. This book seems extra dark and violent, but I think I would still thoroughly enjoy it.

Paranormal romance is not my cup of tea at all, so I'll probably pass on this. I'm quite intrigued by the dark themes and the riveting chemistry described between the to characters though. I'm glad you enjoyed it, seems like it would be a good one for fans of PNR.
