What an absurd topic! In my opinion open relationship should never be normalize. It doesn't make sense, people can do that without hurting anyone? Like there is another people(s) involved, physicly and emotionally. Whoknows that no one won't get hurt? and the risk of getting STDs that could make this practice become more harmful. I do not support polyamorous relationships. In my opinion, if the couple can't find it in themselves to be faithful to each other, then there is no love between them. I believe the only way a couple doesn't get hurt by seeing their spouse in a relationship with another is if they don't care anymore, which only indicates that this marriage is already destroyed. Unless the couple works out their problems together, which is the fundamental basis of marriage, they should not seek what they lack in their marriage with others.
