Re: First romance novel
I tried to get into some of the Danielle Steele and other prominent authors, but they just couldn't compare. I do like the classics though.

I remember that it was just a random pick up at the library. It was almost falling off the table that it was placed on. And I thought maybe this book is calling me.
I have since bought my own copy of the book and read it so many times that the spine is cracked. I don’t know what keeps drawing me back to it but it pulls on the heart each and every time I read it.

It was called Tanner’s Scheme by Lora Leigh.
It is a science fiction romance. I have the complete series now. There was something about that book where there was only one perfect person out there for you and once found you were never alone again.

I left it in that house when I moved. I have been looking for a copy since then, but haven't found one yet.poojkapadia wrote: ↑12 Oct 2021, 14:48 The first novel I ever read was a romance novel, Permanent Fixture by Janet Joyce. I found it abandoned in the apartment we moved to in high school. I have explored many genres by now and haven't stopped reading.

Its name is Barely.
It was about two teenagers who fell in love but were, unfortunately, going to be step-siblings in a few weeks. This story made me cry, both out of happiness and sadness. I could say that it was THE BEST book I have ever read.
