The book Looking Glass Friends is a thrilling novel about two lovers. The unfortunate part is that the two lovers are unavailable due to the fact that they are both married. Looking Glass Friends follows the development of the two lovers relationship from the beginning.

The book starts out with the backstory of each of the lovers, both unsatisfied in their marriages. Neil is unsatisfied in his marriage to Fay, so he escapes to his computer room to fill his time with video games. Ellie spends her time either taking care of her young son or in her library, filling her mind with books and poems. Her husband, Jake, gives her all of the jewels and material things that she desires, but he does not fill her mind, her soul.

When Ellie goes to the bakery to pick up a few things, she notices Neil. For some reason, she had felt drawn to Neil. She had decided that next time she would go to the bakery, she would bring Neil a copy of her favorite novel. After reading the novel and exchanging a few letters and emails, their relationship blossomed. Both felt their lives improving for the better. Ellie and Neil were both being fulfilled intellectually, overall improving their moods, enough so that their spouses notice and become suspicious.

This book was an excellent read and a very thrilling tale. Following the two on their journey to finally join together to become one. The book really emphasizes the relationship between Neil and Ellie and how their needs were met when they found each other. While their spouses were feeding their bodily wants, they were not feeding their minds. This theme is reinstated throughout every part of the novel. You become emotionally involved with all of the characters and want what is best for each.

Looking Glass Friends is the journey that is for anyone who stories with two soulmates meeting and following them on their way to happiness. Following the journey that the two lovers go on is heart wrenching, but also heart warming. The characters go through situations that test them ad their ability to persevere. The relationship that these characters make with each other gets you emotionally invested. This novel makes the characters able to relate to. Looking Glass Friends is highly recommended for those who enjoy romance novels set to real life situations. I would rate Looking Glass Friends at a 4 out of 4. The book does not bore you and you are always emotionally invested and intrigued with the characters and the story line.
