Lost and Love: Thailand (Book One of the Lost and Love Series) by Stella Knights was one that I found very had to put down and was able to finish in just a few hours of evening reading. There are a few vivid sex scenes in this book so reader beware. Personally, I felt like it was even better than the popular series Fifty Shades of Gray. It is also important to mention that this book was excellently edited.
Savannah feels like there is something missing from her life. She has a decent job taking calls for an insurance company and is married to a hard-working real-estate agent, Johnny, yet she wants more. Savannah has noticed that the two of them have fallen into a rut like so many married couples do where their lives consist of the same pattern every day. Even their sex feels mechanical to her and lacking the passion it had when they first started dating. In a desperate attempt to bring back the passion they once shared, she convinces Johnny to take a vacation with her to Thailand after seeing a poster at work.
Savannah vows to have fun and try new things during their vacation and even buys some new outfits for the bedroom to surprise her husband with. Much to Savannah’s surprise, Johnny is not into the sexy outfits and other ideas Savannah has come up with. His fantasy is to watch his wife having sex with another man. While Savannah is not thrilled with this idea she agrees in an attempt to reignite his passion. However, when the couple invites Zander to their bed everyone gets more than what they bargained for. Johnny decides that they need to end the vacation early and distances himself from Savannah right away. Eventually, Savannah finds that the threesome has completely changed her husband’s opinion of her and no longer wants her. Heartbroken, Savannah decides it is time for her to leave. Her only concern now is if she should return to Thailand and Zander’s waiting arms where he promises to treat her like a goddess or if she should go somewhere new altogether.
It is extremely head for me to pick just one thing about the book to label it as my favorite. Everything is described in such vivid detail that I could almost feel the sea salt on my skin. I did enjoy the fact that while this book is a romance it was far from beginning mushy. Just like it is hard for me to pick one thing I liked it is hard to find something that I did not like about the book as well. The cliffhanger at the end was upsetting but only because I didn’t want the story to end and I am impatiently waiting to see what choice Savannah will make.
The target readers for this book are adults ages eighteen and older. This is because while the language is fairly tame with little cussing at all the content is still very sexual in nature, making it inappropriate for younger readers. Mainly women will enjoy this book although I won't discredit the fact that some men may also find it enjoyable. This book was so wonderful that I have decided to give it a rating of 4 out of 4. Stella wrote it in such a way that the reader feels everything that Savannah is feeling. From being in a marriage where she is underappreciated and neglected to her pain of finding out that all of her efforts were for nothing, the reader is quickly along for the emotional ride.
