To find love is a nondescript pleasure but to to see it slip away shatters the heart to noncollectable pieces.Love and lost :Thailand by Stella knights is the first book in this series. It's an enchanting and most expressive of all romance novels I have read. It's a tale of Savannas'love journey that left me with mixed feelings of not knowing whether to Love, to trust or just have fun and enjoy life as it comes.
Savannah an American girl and Johnny an Australian basically living in Melbourne happen to have graduated from the same university. The pair entangle in some sweet and passionate romance that blossoms to exchanging marriage vows. Savannah secures a job as a call representative with an insurance company while Johnny works as a real estate sales person. They both take loan to buy a home and pay the mortgage in installments. The couple experience tight schedules at work that their lives becomes a normal routine of go to work, eat ,sleep and repeat. Their sex life fades away that their relationship equals that of roommates as Johnny is either too busy with work ,tied down to his computer to seal deals or watching a football match. If he ain't doing any of the two then there is his mother and family always on the way with unending demands living no room for Savannah to enjoy her matrimony. Savannah experiences a fight within her as she feels extreme emptiness in her marriage coupled with a boring sex life without fulfillment. She begins to wonder what happened to their once intriguing and fascinating love. She ponders whether their relationship is that of friends who happen to be married or passionate lovers connected by both body and soul.
Savannah initiates a plan to reignite their marriage Flame. She comes up with an idea to go out on a trip to Asia specifically Thailand her all time dream destination. She feels that during this trip, they would reconnect, reclaim and find the passion they once experienced. Savannah decides to make her husband see her as sexy and lovely again at any cost. She shares the idea with her friend Pam who agrees to it and goes on to train Savannah on how to go about it if the trip has to bear fruit. Savannah shares with Johnny about the trip who despite playing hard to get and busy at work slogan gives in and agrees to go for the trip. Pam who is "a graduate "in love affairs and intimacy spoils Savannah by giving her tips on how to go about it. Pam takes Savannah to an adult shop to buy killer staff that will drive Johnny wild during the trip. They buy sexy lingerie, sex stockings, tablets for anal sex and all stuff that they think of. Savannah is naive and afraid but agrees to Pam's' plan as long as it brings back to her the once committed husband she married.Savannah packs everything that they would need and off to Thailand they leave.
The two love birds land in Bongok international airport and are chauffeured to hotel Shakhumvit where they had booked. The experience in Thailand is overwhelming with the Bangkok disorder to care of pushing and pulling, floating markets, diving, bars full of strippers and so on. The two begin to have fun as anticipated. They are determined to find their romance and their love candle begins to shine high. They go swimming, diving, visiting bars and enjoying quality lengthy romantic hours without distractions.Savannah goes swimming as Johnny goes diving with his instructor Zander. Savannah meets Zander and a nondescript feminine feeling almost explodes her heart. To Savannah, Zander is this German god that would give her this sexual satisfaction that she has longed for for half a century.
Things happen as they do and as the love birds visit a dancing club in the night, they find Zander in the same joint. Savannah fights her feeling to keep an eye on Zander to the impossible. Johnny notices this but as they consume excessive wine ,excitement takes their best. Johnny agrees to Zander taking Savannah to the dance floor while he takes on other girls. They feel its time to take things to full enjoyment. Savannah feels deep heat, flesh and passion for Zander. Her inside screams for Zander to eat, drink and devour her. She feels hypnotized by events. Things get out of hand as at first Johnny meets and flirts with Leila a lady boy. They too invite Zander to share their table. It's at this point that a wrong decision is made. Johnny convinces Savannah that they should have a threesome with Zander. Savannah refuses but because she is weak in the inside and wanting Zander like yesterday gives in to the plan. They make love to the moon and back that Savannah experiences all the sexual satisfaction and fulfillment she so admired.
What was agreed of as "just one night" turns out to Savannah wanting all that is left with Zander. She fails to jump from this rabbit hole that she put herself in after trying something so delicious. Zander a stranger begins to treat Savannah just the way she wished her husband would. Johnny pretends to be in deep sleep in the morning and overhears her wife and Zander continue with what was meant for one night in the bathroom. Johnny is heartbroken and hurries to leave Thailand before the set date. Back at home, things begin to fall apart. Johnny distances himself and begins to hate what was once the love of his life. Their lives become hell on earth that they go for days without conversation. It's during one of Johnny's work functions that Savannah bursts him kissing another lady. Hell breaks loose and a bitter confrontation leads to Johnny spitting the venom of "I don't love you anymore" to Savannah and
that he is never coming back home.
Savannah pains deeply and regrets that she spend all her life not saying anything that this has led her to the one thing she had been avoiding all along. Divorce. She feels like she played second fiddle where she wasn't given a chance for her voice to be heard. She lost protecting a love that never was. The novel leaves the reader in a dilemma kind of suspense with Savannah in the airport divided between flying back to Thailand to be with Zander who is waiting or cancelling the flight ticket to stay back and think soberly over the decision. She feels she deserves better and will not settle for less.
There is so much that I love about this novel. The author is able to employ several styles. There is comic like when Savannah tells off her boss of lipstick spread all over her teeth, there is description like when sex scenes are described to true, there is greater character development like when Savannah becomes self made and independent from being naive and so on. This novel kept me glued to my seat that I found it difficult to out it down. It's a novel that kept me awake and emotional. It has actually spiced up my reading appetite that I am conspicuously rating it 4 out of 4 stars.I didn't identify any spelling or grammatical errors and so its professionally edited and so did find any reason to rate it any low.
I recommend this book to all readers who are experiencing challenges in relationships to read this tale and realize how much true or false it is to fight and hung onto a relationship that is worth or worthless. This book is for those that feel like they are getting a raw deal or are chasing a mirage in the name of love and marriage. It's a book that I recommend to every couple for it has lessons to learn. I also wish to alert the readers that the author calls a spade a spade. The language used is explicit and sex scenes are described to detail with every tiny emphasis. All in all, am looking forward to the second edition for am dying to complete the journey with Savannah and experience the next life.
