Lost and Love: Thailand (Book One of the Lost and Love Series), is a fiction written by Stella Knights and published in the first half of 2019. The novel combines romanticism and adventure in beautiful chapters. This novel is only appropriate for adults due to its erotic reputation and romance.

The novel was about Savannah, an American girl who married an Australian husband, Johnny. She was fixed to her mediocre life in Melbourne with a mediocre job and challenging family in-laws. She had a supportive colleague cum friend whom she could rely on whenever she had problems in her life, Pam. She confided ideas to Pam to keep her marriage alive, including issues about her intimacy with her husband. Sarah had been thrilled for her first South-East Asian holiday after marriage at the beginning of the story. Her escape to Thailand not only freed her from her cold mother-in-law but embraced her long-awaited bucket list to travel to exotic places. Her adventures began in Thailand and followed her home.

Romanticism is the theme of this book. It is well written and the language used is appropriate for circumstances. The book's structure was simple to comprehend. The plot was simple to follow, and the timeline of every story was sequential. Despite the author's warning about the usage of mature and strong language in the novel, I discovered that all of the chosen phrases were beautifully suited to the circumstances.

At the start of the tale, there was no presentation of the characters’ pasts. The author did an excellent job, however, as the personalities were presented and developed according to the circumstances. The combination of tones was performed beautifully when we see how Savannah attempted her way, dealing with her issues. The story thickened as the pair did a brief event in Thailand. Since the novel is primarily about romance, erotic material has only been used to stimulate the enthusiasm of the protagonists. Besides, I believe that the language used can make the viewer more aware of the personalities in this novel. The erotic and intimate events in this book are very graphic and seductive, in preserving with the personalities featured in the novel. For me, on a scale of 0 to 5 in terms of erotic scenes, I gave 4 for the eroticism.

Besides, the style of writing in this novel is amusing and very applicable to the scenarios faced by most individuals in this generation. For instance, Savannah, who worked in Customer Service, was portrayed as someone with a charming character and helpful, where she has to aid with other people's issues despite having her dreams. Her thoughts and her inner dialogues, as well as her personality, matched completely with many contemporary ladies who had to struggle in today's challenging times. Near the end of the story, the growth of Savannah's character as the primary personality was remarkable. The progression was well constructed as the readers can feel the positive part of Savannah that eventually helped her out of misery. The conversations between Savannah and Pam also felt genuine and not awkward. This showed that their discussion was ordinary and typical between two good friends who often expressed their perspectives about their concerns.

Hence, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. Overall, I believe this novel had been properly written and professionally edited. I didn’t encounter any typing or grammatical errors when reading this book. Moreover, I’m very pleased with this fiction. This novel had made me expecting more. The end of this novel continued to the next book. I can't wait to see what will happen to Savannah afterward.
