One Way or Another: A Friends to Lovers Contemporary Romance (The Sisters Quartet Book 1) by Mary J. Williams is a superb romance book. I enjoyed every word on every page in the entire book. The author weaved words so uniquely to build a love story that caresses your emotions and make you smile as you read. Usually, I would not pick a love storybook, but I sure am glad I chose this one. Or did it choose me? Being a man, I don’t believe I can put into words what it feels like when you put yourself into a woman’s mind. Participate in every decision she makes and actually agree with her.

The author did a great job of developing the characters. Andy, Calder, Bryce, and Destry are sisters sharing an unbreakable sibling’s bond, one mother, four fathers, and millions of dollars between them. Their mother, Billie, desires to remain forever young. The main story in this book is about Calder Benedict. She runs a multi-million-dollar charity, Erica’s Angels. One night she literally stumbles upon a handsome hunk, Adam Stone. While she tries to figure out why she is so attracted to this guy, and whether or not to move forward and commit to a relationship, her mother has just landed the worst kind. One that has propositioned to all the sisters before approaching their mother. What is this guy’s motive? Will Calder and Adam manage to forge a meaningful relationship?

As all these questions are tossed between the sisters, they also have to deal with their own situations. Being different in personality and character, they also handle challenges differently. This brought them even closer. Their mother’s case concerns them as well. This is because, apart from their love for her, there is also money involved. Their money. It is all this and more that romance lovers will have to go and fetch this book. It is superbly narrated and uniquely structured. The author indeed is a romance fanatic, if not a die-hard fan of some other romance works.

I really liked how the author created the scenes in the story. She particularly made the individuality of the characters shine through the pages. The bond between them as sisters and as human beings is very unique. For once I do admit, I have thought as a woman and saw the logic. An uphill task for any man.

There is nothing I did not like about this book at all. I encountered a couple of mistakes, but I am still convinced that the book was professionally edited. This is why I rate One Way or Another: A Friends to Lovers Contemporary Romance (The Sisters Quartet Book 1) by Mary J. Williams 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to adult readers, particularly lovers of romance. This being a romantic book, some scenes and remarks can make some readers feel uncomfortable. Though for me, this was not the case. However, younger readers should give this one a pass for now.

Sounds a bit too drama-filled for my liking but I understand that drama novels are quite popular among some audiences; I don't think this book should have a lot of trouble finding its readers. Thanks for your review!

An excellent and honest review! I can tell how much you enjoyed this book. It's not quite for me. At least, not in the nearest future. But I do appreciate the author's ability to transport the reader into the characters' minds and situations. This kind of skill makes a book stands out.

What a captivating review. The book sounds quite the page turner. I expected malice and fights with money and different fathers between the sisters, but their union is a welcome twist. Great review!
