One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams is a romance novel about Calder and Adam. Two people from different worlds brought together by chance.

Calder Benedict grows up with her three sisters in a wealthy family, but her life hasn't been easy. A self-absorbed mother and all of her sisters having different fathers made her life challenging. The sisters only had each other and developed an unshakable bond. Between trust issues and feeling that men were only after her money, Calder has had her share of relationship issues. Can she trust Adam? While she is trying to figure that out, she and her sisters are faced with the problem of their mother's new boyfriend. They need to figure out what underhanded scheme he is up to before it is too late to protect their mother and the family fortune.

I like many things about this book. The character development is well done. Their personalities shine through, making it easy to love the good guys and hate the villains. The author does an excellent job of showing you the bond between the Benedict sisters. Anyone with a similar bond will easily pick up on the love shared by these ladies.

The romance scenes in the book are well written without going into great detail, allowing the reader to use their imagination. The love between Adam and Calder is apparent in their interactions and conversations with each other and with others.

This is more than just a romance novel. There is a great storyline written around the romance part of the book that truly sets it apart. The strong, independent personalities of the Benedict sisters. Each of whom would make a good story of their own. Then add in the mystery surrounding the mother's new boyfriend, the twist he adds to the ending of the story, and you have a great depth that keeps you interested.

The only thing I dislike about this book is that in my opinion, it follows the same old cliche of many romance novels. Rich girl falls for the guy beneath her station. It makes for a good story, but it is easy to predict.

The book is well-edited, with only a few errors noted in this book. I would recommend this book to older teens and adults due to some occurrences of adult language and mild erotic scenes. I give One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams a 4 out of 4 stars.
