This is my review for 2612 Cherryhill Lane, written by Glenn Vo. I give this book a 4 out of 4 stars. The reason for this rating is because it was beautifully written. It had no spelling or grammatical errors. This book keeps its readers engaged in the story, and it has very powerful message. This book deals with themes such as, PTSD, Depression, and Christianity.

Readers who would enjoy this book are people who love, football, romanticism, or people who believe in God and the Holy Bible. This book has several references to football plays, and features at least 6 quotes from the Bible. God is very occurrent in this book and is spoken through the hope that the characters have.

2612 Cherryhill Lane is about Jonathan McCalister, the quarterback of the Katy Tigers, the football team of Katy High. Jonathan is a five star prospect and has a full ride scholarship to Texas University, his fathers alma mater. Jonathan got into an accident while texting and driving, and ended up losing someone very dear to him. The accident also made him an amputee. His dreams were gone in an instant.

Jonathan lost all his hope until one day he met Samantha Reid. A beautiful, persistent and well-educated, girl. Could she be the one who will help Jonathan realize God`s plan for his life? This story is all about overcoming, whether it be from a tragedy, depression or even ones self blame. Samantha, along with Dominic Viana, Tom Dawson, Elijah Baines and Rose McCalister, are the people in Jonathans life who are supporting him daily. Will they be enough to vanquish the dark thoughts that precede in Jonathan`s mind?

The one thing I would say that I didn`t like about this book was that it time jumped around too much. It skipped ahead months and didn`t give too much detail on what happened within the months it skipped. However, I understand why Glenn did it this way. It takes time to heal ones, body and mind. So the fast forwarding in the book was so that you can get a sense of just how long the healing process is. I would love for more details for the in-between phases. Especially because it skips over such events that blossom the relationship that is building between Jonathan and Samantha. This is the only negative thought I had while reading this book. Glenn Vo is an amazing writer with great talent and I look forward to reading more of his books.

I read this book and thought it was repetitive at times with the story dragging occasionally also. However, it does have a good plot and a very good message. Thanks for your wonderful review! Glad you liked the book. 🙂
