Heartaches 2 by H. M. Irwing.

Anna and Rafe have had their own share of problems. They are both victims of rape by their own lovers, or so they thought. They only have each other for support and protection. Anna feels void when without Rafe and he too feels the same when without Anna. Anna has a bestfriend, Pat, who is gay. She shares everything with him.

Together with Rafe, they struggle against the forces of their enemies, the Prestons and their nightmares. They seem to be doing great until Anna and Rafe find out that Peter Preston is Rafe's biological father. To make matters worse, he intends on marrying Rafe's aunt, Aunt Bella. This leads to the breakup of Anna and Rafe since Rafe can not bear to be related to the same people who gang raped his girlfriend mercilessly. He is bent on dissuading his aunt to not let the wedding happen. When Anna is invited to wedding as well, she accepts the invitation and goes there with one mission: to stop the wedding from happening. Will she succeed? Will the sight of Rafe after so many months apart weaken her or strengthen her? Will she be able to live under the same roof with all the Prestons with no fights? Read this book to get to answer your questions.

I really loved the fact that even with their dark pasts, Rafe and Anna found interest in each other and really held their love for each other through thick and thin. I also loved the fact that Anna had someone other than Rafe to keep her safe and protect her from any further assaults. I hated Matt and all the Prestons for druging and raping her mercilessly. I too felt her pain.

I rate this book 4 out 4 stars. I enjoyed reading this book. It was super entertaining and the plot well developed for the reader to understand. The author has developed the characters so well that the book is unputdownable.

I recommend this book to people above the age of 20 years. This book contains erotic scenes that would upset and be inappropriate for anyone below that age. The book is also most appropriate for individuals who have no problem reading of a love story filled with sorrow. I loved reading this book and I recommend it without a doubt.
