One Way or Another by Mary J Williams

This book is the first in the series of six about the lovely Benedict sisters. The Benedict’s are a wealthy family that resides in their family mansion in New York. The story follows the four Benedict sisters and their interesting journey. We get to know a little about each of the sisters, Andi, Calder, Bryce, and Destry, their unique father situation, and their intriguing mother. In the first book we get to follow one of the sisters and dive into her life a little deeper and get to know her. Calder, one of the middle sisters, meets a man, Adam, and begins to date him. The Benedict sisters are very cautious with their hearts and have a hard time trusting men’s intentions. These four sisters have to be protective of their wealth and make sure they don’t get taken advantage of. The great thing is these sisters understand each other completely and can count on each other for advice and guidance.

I enjoyed this book a lot so there are many positives. The connection that all four sisters share with each other is amazing. They can depend on each other for anything and everything. These sisters are best friends and that comes through very clearly. I also love that they have a special place in their house that they have met in since they were little. They love to go to this room when they need to have a sister chat or need some comfort.

The way Calder and Adam met or ran into each other multiple times was different and intriguing. I really liked how Calder’s sisters were there for support and advice throughout the whole dating situation. The romance was steamy without going overboard. You get just the right amount of details to heat things up without revealing every little detail. The trust that develops between Calder and Adam is great! Calder and Adam can talk to each other about even the most difficult things about their pasts. The connection these two share is amazing.

Since I enjoyed this book so much I don’t have a dislike.

As this is a romance novel there are some erotic scenes, however they are very tasteful. Even though it is a romance novel there is a story and the whole book is not just erotic scenes. There were a few typos but not many and they didn’t distract from the story. Profanity was present but was not overwhelming or excessive.

This is a romance novel and would be enjoyed by anybody who likes a good love story. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars . The book has a good story line and follows the Benedict sisters and the love life of one in particular. I can not wait to read the next books in the series to see what happens next!
