"Life is but a candle that burns as slowly as you let it." "People have added wax to my candle to help this flame burn slower. To help me live life in the moment instead of burning up in the past."

2612 Cherryhill Lane, written by author Glenn Vo, is a very poignantly written story of love, heartache, and challenges in life. Challenges not only in body, but of spirit and faith as well. Throughout this touching read of young love and loss, you are provoked to look within to see that people are brought into and out of our lives for a greater purpose. Reminding you that God's great plan should be looked at with unquestioning eyes and an open heart.

Jonathan McCalister and Samantha Reid, the main characters of this story, take you through a roller coaster of powerful emotions that tells the tale of redemption and atonenment. Experiencing young love while learning to navigate life's twists and turns, Jon and Sam learn important life lessons, ultimately capturing our hearts along the way.

This relatable book tells a tale of families, relationships and resiliency after tragedy. It touches on a topic which is very current and a serious concern for all, but especially with our young adults in particular. It reminds us of how one quick simple act can have concquences that can effect the rest of our lives.

This book does have a religious influence that may not be of interest to all, however this is a story that I believe will reach younger and older readers alike with it's inspiring messages of hope and faith. This story is rooted in spirituality, with powerful messages which will leave you feeling uplifted and hopeful.

What I liked most about 2612 Cherryhill Lane is that it is written without the use of profanity or overly adult content. It is a book that can be recommended to young adults to enjoy without hesitation. Unfortunately, in today's times, many stories are written with edgy content in an attempt to lure young minds. I greatly appreciated the positive messages throughout this book. I have no dislikes about this story, as I felt it was exceptionally written with a great deal of thoughtfulness and care.

I would rate 2612 Cherryhill Lane 4 out of 4 stars. Author Glenn Vo succeeds magnificently in taking you along on a journey filled with tragedy, young love, heartache and the power of faith and ultimate healing.
