Young Adult Romance Novels

Post by morganinga »

What are some of your favorite romance novels geared toward young women (college-aged)?
There do not seem to have many books in this category; most seem to be for younger teenagers.

My favorite series in this category are "Walking Disaster", "Hopeless" and the "Slammed" series.

By young adult romance novels do you mean books that are explicit enough they can arguably be called porn for women?

One of my favorite authors is Kasey Michaels in this category. Her books are so comedic! Another favorite is Luck be a Lady by Cathie Linz

Enraptured by Alanna Carbonneau is such a great book! It's about a college girl so you should definitely try it out. I was hesitant at first but it turned out to be one of my favorites. I already read it twice!

Latest Review: "Trophy Target" by Allen Mitchum

Thoughtless Trilogy by S. C. Stephens. I fell in love with Kellan Kyle even though he has too much baggage and I'm sure I really can't handle him if he comes to life.

I would love to find a young adult romance novel that I could recommend to my little sister. I am extremely picky about what I find acceptable however. I feel a lot of authors struggle to teach our youth gender flexibility. They also seem to struggle with strong female characters who stay respectable throughout their romantic experiences, rather that becoming irrational selfish beings.

I've recently discovered Katie Mcgarry series. Titles include Dare you to, Pushing the Limits, Crossing the line, Crash into you. All involved teens with emotional baggage and centered around 3 teens who are in foster care together. Suitable for older teens probably too suggestive and emotionally dark for younger teens.

I absolutely loved Pushing the Limit. The way it was written and the story itself just spoke to me. Ten Tiny Breath was also good in way, but there were some parts that I found unnecessary for the story. I mean, we can all agree the sex scenes were nice, but some of them were just strange. It just does not happen in real life. I completely fell apart because of Trent's speech at the end. Now, that was just beautifully written!
