Despite it’s harshness, I thought this was a great book. It works that the characters aren’t perfect. Angel is the perfect example of God being able to forgive any sin if you come to him. Angel had so much done to her, but it shows that God can break through the darkest of minds. Michael is the type of Christian I would like to be. He trusts God with every fiber of his being, and is so forgiving of Angel despite how much she betrays him. Each character found forgiveness and grew in such a beautiful way.

I have rad this book in English, in Afrikaans and I have watched the movie, and the kind of love Michael demonstrates towards Angel/Sarah is astounding. This is how God intended it to be.
