Did anyone read the review of the erotic romance Surrender My Love by Lisa Eugene? I just read it and am very surprised. It was down rated for it's explicit sex scenes and it's an erotic romance. Did the reviewer not know that when she picked up the book? I read it when it first came out and really enjoyed it.

I just put a comment on the review thread for this book. Since the review is in the Mystery/Thriller forum, it made me wonder whether the marketing for the book has been done incorrectly; a reader expecting one sort of story and finding another is likely to be disappointed, as that reviewer was, and thus downgrade the book when doing the review. Though I would think that the cover art would indicate the type of story to expect ...

I agree. I just commented on that thread as well. I read the book when it first came out and loved it. It's been getting great reviews so the review surprised me, but it does seem that the reviewer was expecting a different type of book.

At least the discussion has given me a new author to check out
