At Her Beck and Call: A Pictorial Journal of Female Domination and Male Servitude by Mistress Benay

Mistress Benay is a Dominatrix with clients that come to her to fulfill their fantasies. Now she wants her own personal sex slave and has been looking on the internet for a desirable candidate. She believes she may have found him in Troy, a man with similar interest to her own. Mistress Benay never mentioned her profession or what it was that she desired. After their first date the initiation began. If Troy was to be her slave there were a number of things he would have to do to prove himself worthy. Complete and utter obedience would be required of Troy. His life would then be under the control of his Mistress Benay.

At Her and Beck Call is the first book, or Volume One, in what will be the Female Domination Series. In this first book, which reads very much like a journal, she reveals her encounters with Troy and how they proceeded from courting, to a Mistress and Slave relationship, to eventually becoming husband and wife, all while Mistress Benay was the Dominant Female in the relationship. Mistress Benay warns interested readers that At Her Beck and Call was a work of Adult Fiction, because of its extremely graphic nature. She then goes on to describe throughout the book, in great detail, the methods she used to convert Troy into her sex slave.

Mistress Benay wrote an informative book that provided an honest look at the inner works of a Dominatrix. A novice would be able to take the information provided and begin to explore their own desires. This book read more like an instruction manual, than a novel with a traditional plot and storyline, with Mistress Benay describing her own experiences in a fictional form, as an example for others to follow. Mistress Benay even included the makings of her personal dungeon which she used more so on her clients, than her slave, unless necessary for punishment.

I found At Her Beck and Call to be an interesting and informative look at culture and lifestyle I had never been privy to. Mistress Benay is a decent writer who knows how to convey her story in a way that is shocking but not overwhelming. Her willingness to divulge so much about her profession gave an unexpected touch of reality to situations I would never believe possible. This book would benefit from additional editing but was easy to read.

At Her Beck and Call would be an ideal novel for anyone interested in becoming a Dominatrix or interested in BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Masochism). For that reason I give this novel 3 out of 4 stars. This is a novel meant for those who are curious about exploring their sexuality in this form. As a reviewer and someone not interested in exploring this sexual style, I was still interested in the story. I doubt however if I would continue on with the Female Domination Series. I would only recommend that to those who would like to expand their knowledge of the BDSM culture beyond what has already been provided in the first volume.

I was caught off guard and shocked by some of the "activities" mentioned! I never imagined she would have gone into as much detail as she did. It was very brave of her to express herself the way she did without being worried about judgement.
