[Following is a volunteer review of "Midwinter Turns to Spring" by Maria Veloso.]

[rwc=id399832-125]4 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]The flames true love lights can never be out,not even by the strongest of winds.Alfonso Madrigal's curiosity to find out if the painting in his possession is a Picasso leads to meeting the beautiful Savannah Curtis. The growing interest in each other enkindled a passion untamed.Thier sad separation for a couple of years puts forth questions of what happens next and where this beautiful feeling leads to?

The sad distance between these two is not powerful enough to change how they feel as in their favour destiny resurrects the bottled and hidden past romance, uniting them for life in matrimony after overcoming the tense trials, embracing new freedom and a chance to enjoy the fruits of true love standing the test of time and more embedded in the Midwinter turns to spring as put forth by Maria Veloso.

As true love conquers all hardships to emerge victorious, the sacrifices made later give way to a perfect chance to unite a couple with true and genuine love.

All the broken pieces and long lost relationships renewed, setting perfect hope to those who despair in love.

On the other hand the aspect of racism pops out as the young and would be innocent pick on each other because of colour differences, so fatal and alarming.

Quite absurd to say but i really would have loved to get the translations of the beautiful Spanish songs in the book.

To me this book is an inspiration and a love compass, showing the truth and miracles of true love. I therefore rate it 4 out of 4 stars , it is well edited.

I recommend this book to parents and guardians, for the knowledge it contains and awareness of how to understand and consider the children's feelings during growth, child mistreatment and its effects

perfect for the lovers especially those separated by circumstances of life.

The teachers as well may find it of use as they attend to the disadvantaged young ones in school and how to help them handle emotional difficulty.
