When Cassidy falls in love during her summer break before law school starts, will she decide to go back to school as planned or stay on the beach with her new love and live where she used to vacation with her grandmother as a child? When life gets hectic, Cassidy decides it’s time to rethink her life and her happiness. While trying to figure out who she is and what she wants she will have to make some changes and discover the past. With the help of her best friend Emma and the Anderson’s, Cassidy can enjoy Maine again. Sean spends his time in Maine taking care of his grandfather. When he has to decide what he wants and where his priorities are, what will he decide? Everyone searches for happiness and answers. Sometimes it takes time and multiple times around to find where you belong. After the hundredth time, where will life be?

The cover of the book drew me in and once I was in I was hooked. Stacy Lee is descriptive and had me feeling like I was the one walking along on the beautiful beach, watching the waves, smelling the air, and picking up pieces of seaglass. Can love be rekindled with help from the beach memories or will the flame lay cold once in for all.

I absolutely loved this book. I do not have a negative comment to make. It was descriptive, flowed smoothly, and kept my focus. I am left thinking about my own past and wanting to go back to the beach, where I too find it easier to reflect and do some soul searching.

The Hundredth Time Around reminded me of many of my favorite stories and movies. She grabs your feelings and reels you into your emotions, wondering what is going to happen with the characters. For this reason, I am giving this book a 4 out of 4 stars. One choice, one discussion, one second can change your life. This story seems to show this lesson over and over. I look forward to seeing this new author develop more.

While reading this book I kept thinking about my favorites from Nicholas Sparks and Sarah Dessen. I loved this story. There was love and unexpected twists that just kept me gravitated. So hard to put down once you start! This classic story of summer love, second chances, and past trauma needs to be on your summer read list.
