Love on The Westside by Riley West is an LQBTQ+ romance story. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about this book as I am not into gay romances. But now that I have read it, I am glad I picked it up. It is a very sweet romantic story about two completely different women. It has love, steamy romance, action, and suspense. Moreover, it is hardly 160 pages long, which means it can be read in one session.

Lila is a silver-haired woman who has moved back to NYC to follow her dream of becoming an art conservator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is smart, bold, and trying to escape parental expectations. On the other hand, Kate is Lila’s mother’s friend’s little sister. Kate recently had a divorce when she found about her husband, Wes, cheating on her. Lila and Kate meet at a party, and the love at first sight scenario follows. Their worlds turned upside down as neither of them expected to fall for someone of the same sex. They fall in love very quickly, but Kate is still dealing with the demons of her past. Also, she is very popular, which makes her relationship with Lila a little hard. Both the women explore each other's lives, but at one point, all goes south. Will they end up happy? Will Kate ever be able to confront her past? What twists will their love life go through?

Love at first sight and falling for each other head over heels is what this story is all about at first. But, as we move forward, the two amazing characters explore each other and their lives together. They become each other’s support system; it includes holding on to each other during the worst and not letting a bad phase affect the relationship. The book also has humor and wit. Some scenes made me smile and feel good while reading.

Talking about the editing, there are a plethora of errors in the book. I had an online copy of the book, and it definitely needs some professional editing. There is a lot of profanity used in the book. It also has some adult content.

On the whole, I will rate this book a 3 out of 4 stars read. I had to take one star away because of the editing issue; otherwise, the story alone is perfect. It is a quick romantic read. The relationship these women have from the moment they first met captivated me.

I would recommend this book to readers above 16 years of age due to the adult content. LGBTQ+ lovers must give this book a try. Those who like to read short romances must also go for it. The relationship composed in the story is worth cherishing. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

I think this could be an interesting book for the right audience. I enjoyed your review, but I will not be reading it. Being in my early 20s I'm not sure I can relate to the content about dealing with divorce. Thank you for the lovely review.

It sounds like a really heartwarming romance. I am so happy to see more and more books that are LGBTQ+ and I can commend you for going out of your comfort zone and reading it. Well done on your review, it was beautifully written.

It seems like a truly endearing sentiment. I am so glad to see an ever increasing number of books that are LGBTQ+ and I can compliment you for leaving your usual range of familiarity and understanding it. Great on your survey, it was flawlessly composed.
