I believe erotic novels to be love stories with passionate intimacy while erotica novels are mainly sexual.

Not really sure, but I think erotica is more of the short story series while erotica romance is the combination to an explosive novel.

I think erotic romance has a plot with character development, vs erotica which are just the ‘scenes’ with minimal story filler. I do think it’s interesting that the definitions are so non-defined, as it makes it challenging to find the ‘type’ of story you’re looking for between romance, erotic romance, or erotica.
