Review: The Love Hypothesis

Post by Hyacinth Bella »

I absolutely fell in love with The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. The characters, how perfect they all seem, with them as being Ph.D doctors or graduate students, or just being in the STEM field of academia, Hazelwood made all of her characters deeply relatable, because they're truthfully flawed, just like us.

I connected deeply with Olive. With her thinking, with her sacrifices. I love her. She's disciplined, she's kind, she'll put you first. Even though how pretty she seems, she acknowledges the fact that her life is miserable.

I also love the way how the book showcases more than the romance. Like poverty when you're a grad student, bad teachers, sexual harassment, how people influence people, the LGBTQ Community, and how scientific fields are mostly dominated by men.

The book is so good. I cannot put it down. Yes, I know when people will read that there will be some that will say it's cliché and the plot twist was expected, sometimes, the order to happiness is the good, old, cliché plot.

But it wasn't at all cliché for me. I haven't seen a plotline like that. I love that book very much. I would give it a 4/4 stars any day.

What about you? Have you read The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood? If you haven't, well you should!

I have read it. And OMG..I just loved it. Though it was quite predictable like you said, but come on who doesn't want that. You know I loved it when Adam said - “I’m going to kill you,” he gritted out, little more than a
growl. “If you say another word about the woman I love, if
you look at her, if you even think about her—I’m going to
f****g kill you.”

I loved the book, even though it was predictable I couldnt stop reading. My favourite character though would have to be Holden, his sense of humor matches mine.

I've read it, and I really enjoyed it! I started out pretty skeptical of it—as a PhD student, my experience with academia combined with the cynicism that the book has towards academia made me hesitant to read past even the prologue. I'm glad I stuck around, though, because the story itself was witty and all around really cute!

I’ve read it and it was a fun read. I love the characters and though it was quite predictable the book was so adorable and cliché and it was enjoyable

I read this book last year, it was one of my favourite books of the year! There were some things that I disliked about it, but overall it was a really cute romance and it was written really well. I can't wait to read Ali's next book!

I read this book a while ago and ADORED it! While I did think the plot was predictable, the author wrote and developed her characters well enough to still keep me enthralled. I can't believe it started as Star Wars fanfiction! I would very happily give this book 4 out of 4 stars!

Really an interesting book to read, I felt like I learned something about science, while reading the cutest romance story. For me it was a win win, it might not be for everyone, especially because of the intimate scene, but regardless the love story was really cute, and I just love a good fake dating story.

Definitely a book I will pass on to others, and definitely a reread in a few months.

When Olive hit play on the recording at the restaurant in front of all the scientists….. oh. My. God. And Adam’s protectiveness over her after that, need I say more?? This book is perfection.
