"Love in Bloom" by Sheila Roberts

Post by Carolynemery33 »

Hello all,

Yet another great Sheila Roberts book. "Love in Bloom" was such a breath of fresh air. It really makes you think about enjoying life to the fullest. Sheila even included some wonderful gardening tips for those garden lovers.

The main character, Hope Walker, is thankful to be alive since she is a cancer survivor, but this has also caused her to be weary on love. She is the owner of a well-established flower shop in town and enjoys every minute of it. Her sister helps her out around the shop and isn’t the best coworker sometimes. When a sexy construction worker comes into the shop, he draws the attention of both sisters. Hope, being timid as she is, lets her feelings hide and her sister take charge. But she didn’t expect her sister to take her own identity and claim she’s somebody she’s not to this man.

We meet other characters along the way with their own stories on the side. I fell in love with the grandma figure of the story. She is just wanting the love and appreciation from her own family, but doesn’t seem to get it. She opens a garden plot in the community garden where she meets Hope and others and helps them in their search of a better life. She finds the appreciation she’s been looking for in her lovely garden with her friends.

This story had me literally in tears. Such a heartwarming story that really makes you appreciate life, friends, family and being one with nature. If you want to read a story to lift your spirits and look at life in a beautiful way, “Love in Bloom” by Sheila Roberts is the way to go. Not to mention the great gardening tips have come in handy already this summer!

Thanks,
Carolyn
