"The Nine Lives of Christmas" by Sheila Roberts

Hello all,
This book is the perfect starter to the holiday season. I received this book on Christmas day as a gift and finished Christmas evening. I was very drawn to this book; may have been the Christmastime Season sweeping me away or the fact there is an adorable, mischievous, meddling cat in the story. Either way, was a fantastic read!
Ambrose, the cat, tells part of the story in his point of view. He has been a bad cat, causing problems here and there, and is now on his last life. He has decided to dedicate this ninth and final life to helping someone in need. He follows a young man home after the man saves him from a viscious dog. This man, Zach, is in dire need of Ambrose's help, at least Ambrose thinks so. Zach is a firefighter and can't seem to bring the flames of love to life. He meets a young girl and is instantly attracted to her and Ambrose decides to take matters into his own hands- or in this case, paws.
Throughout the story you are reading from the girl’s point of view, Zach's and Ambrose's. Each view is well written and captivating. This book definitely gets you in the spirit of Christmas and the spirit of love. The cat is witty and I love how Sheila made the point of view so spot on to what a cat would probably be thinking on the simplest of things in life. I absolutely love this book. Passed it along to my grandma as well and she is loving it too. Sheila hasn't disappointed me yet!
Thanks,
Carolyn
