I do not remember when last I was touched by a book the way Midwinter Turns to Spring did . It is a love story beautiful but yet not without life's obstacles. It is a representation of how I believe life to be lived, filled with noble characters with real yet good hearts. This book reveals the beauty of life, love, friendship, family, forgiveness, happiness and loyalty

A beautiful depiction of how life should be, but isn't. Humans have feelings but there is always the acknowledgement that other people are human too and it is okay to put others ahead of your own being. Pain is common and is inevitable but can be handled in a decent and constructive manner.

At some points in the book where Spanish was written, the author failed to provide translations. I believe that this was to avoid redundancy but it was easy to forget previous mentions written in a foreign language. The anger depictions also showed a falsified reality. We get angry as humans and it is not always beautiful but should and can be expressed appropriately. The book for me had people bottling their feelings and accepting pain and moving past it as if it is okay for others to hurt you. Confrontation is addressing a situation and is meant to lead to a solution.

It was captivating evoking every emotion felt by the characters. There is no criticism to give when it comes to this book, it was spectacular. Maria Veloso the author deserves a noble prize for this book. I give it a solid 4 out of 4 star rating.

I believe it to be a book that should be read by every human being on earth and those in space. I recommend it should be read in schools and higher learning institutions. Great lessons and profound knowledge is found in this read. As hard as it can be, life can also be beautiful and it is never too early for kids to learn this and that love is real and worth waiting on.
