The review makes me believe that this romantic fiction might be a little too poignant for my taste. But I whall definitely recommend it to those who might be interested in the genre. Congratulations on being listed as Book Of The Day.

It's fascinating how an author can take their own life story and turn it into a book. This Memoir seems to have everything a reader could need to feel inspired and always look forward, knowing that there will always be ups and downs in life.

I'm not usually fond of memoirs but your review made my heart hurt for Alison and her sisters.

Alison's story is touching and it's sad that it is true. I would love to see how it turned out in the end. Thanks for the review.

This book tells how it is not to be loved by people you look up to but find that love from strangers or least expected people. People go through different issues but coming out strong and extending your kindness to others makes you stronger.

I like the message of the book that shows how to respond to life when everything seems to be going bad. The Church of Latter Day Saints, like pretty much every religion, has good and bad people in it.

This book sounds like a moving memoir that may make one more appreciative of growing up with loving parents. It is also an opportunity to learn about Taiwanese culture. The support that the Church of Latter-Day Saints gave Allison is what Christianity should always be.

This is a touching story of Allison as she had suffered in the hands of many people and even her damily member. I wish to read the book and unravel what could give her courage to ever write this book.

'Official Review: Ninety-Nine Fire Hoops' by Allison Hong Merrill has a thought-provoking introduction. It straightforwardly outlines the author's story of life for readers. The point that this is a memoir of a love-starved woman who against all odds came out strong is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that the memoirs like this would make one appreciate having a good family while growing up, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the memoir will help us spiritually, and emotionally, and also motivate us!

I wasn't sure where the story was going but later in the review I got my bearings.
I can relate to Allison's joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; I'm a returned missionary myself and I baptised close to thousands of people inside one of their temples and in the mission field.
What happened to Allison is uncalled for, nobody deserves a miserable life that they didn't choose. I like it that she found solace in the Church even if she was disappointed by that American.
Being a memoir, I suppose the author is more than acquainted with the main character. Keep searching, there's great guys who are worth the wait for.
Must be read, but on my shelf first.

This book does have twists and turns. Allison's experience seems so sad. I hope she later found happiness. Good review.
