In Taming Blaze we meet Dani, the daughter of an infamous Panamanian crime boss. After nearly being killed by her doped up, socialite boyfriend she heads back home. During the drive she runs out of gas and meets the dangerous and very hot Blaze, member of the Inferno Motorcycle Club. After getting hot and steamy by the side of the road they spend what was supposed to be a one night stand together before going their separate ways.
Once back home Dani is surprised to learn that the man who killed her mother many years before is not only still alive but coming for her and her father has employed hired guns to protect her. Out of the group of rambunctious bikers, Blaze has been hand picked for the job. He sweeps her off to his secluded cabin in the woods where they try to fight the attraction they feel for each other, both fearing her father’s wrath before finally giving in.
It isn’t until they are kidnapped by thugs in suits that she learns what really happened to her mother and family secrets come to light.
Taming Blaze is not only a compelling love story with some steamy scenes but also kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. It was refreshing to read about a heroine that was not sweet and innocent and I also loved the fact that despite the big bad man protecting her, it was Dani that saved herself.
