After reading the sample and your review, this is definitely a book I'll put on my want-to-buy list of books. I love a good love story and this one sounds right up my alley. Thank you for the amazing, well-written review.
Books and stories provide wonderful knowledge and lessons, but I must agree with my father that experience garners wisdom.

You have written a great review. I read the sample of the book first, then your review. Now I must know what happens to Fiona, and I am not a fan of romance novels! Good job.

This is an intriguing book centred around love, loyalty, friendship, dignity, and many other noble human qualities. I appreciate Fiona's doggedness in keeping by her principles, the world is better because of characters like her. The story of Philip and Fiona is a romantic one that comes with its sacrifices.

You have a nicely done review. Thanks.

I love historical romance books, even though I find them predictable. Thanks to your review I am now excited for some unique surprises in this one.

Apart from Jane Austen and maybe a couple others, I'm really not into the genre. But I do enjoy the classical literary feel to it all.

From the review, the characters appear to have been well developed, thus enhancing the author's ability to create a unique world.

The book appears to be well-written and the cover is attractive. I don't usually enjoy romance novels, however, so I believe I will pass on this one. Very informative review.

Reading the review and sample book, it seems to be a promising romantic novel. Set in historical background, adds a feather to the cap!

I'm getting Bridgerton from the description in this review. I rarely get the chance to read a romance novel, so I cannot wait to read this one. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

The contradictions might be a problem for me too, I can't imagine reading something only to discover another contrasting thing. But overall, this book sounds amazing and has a romantic cover that makes you fall in love with book even before reading.
