Midwinter Turns to Spring by Maria Veloso is a romantic novel that tells about a love that's able to withstand time. And as the author puts it, there are things that despite being hidden for long, they will come to the open at the opportune time.

Savannah is an artist who meets Alfonso, a Flamenco guitarist and they hit of on the journey of love. Alfonso is married with one child and Savannah is also engaged to her fiance. Coupled with having father-daughter relationship issues during childhood and the realization that Alfonso has a family, this leads to Savannah sacrificing the love she had for Alfonso. Will they be able to find each after so many years of staying apart? Will their love be able to withstand the storms of life?
Read to find out what truly is the definition of love.

I find the book interesting as it illustrates love in a whole new light, be it love with family members, friends and between lovers. In the last third portion of the book, the author uses the art of playing a soulful guitar as not only knowing the mechanics but also easing up and being one self. There are more useful illustrations that help me appreciate love and life without forgetting to be myself in all of it, and I'm sure you as a reader will also have this new perspective of love.

It is also enriched with Spanish language which is associated with romance.

Having read this book, I'll give it 4 out of 4 as it is professionally written, there are no errors. It is not limited to the cliche-kind of romance, it expounds on love in all dimensions. Be it physically, spiritually, emotionally.

Therefore this book will suit every reader who loves romance and is out to understand love as a whole. It's also great for those who love poetry as there are more than enough poems for you.
