Our novel starts with Matt looking for termites in Ms Lake's house. Vera Lake handed Matt a glass of lemonade; only then did he realize how beautiful she was. The Beauty of Second Chances by Lorri Smalls is a very tender novel about broken souls coming together to save each other. Can their love last despite the age difference in today's society? Can they break through the obstacles they're facing? Can they leave behind the painful past and start s future together? You will have to read the novel to find out.

Matt is a twenty-five-year-old guy still reeling from the fact that his fiancée left him for his best friend. The troubled soul also has to make peace with his mother passing away. Matt is just a simple guy, not trusting romance after what happened, which is quite reasonable. Although he doesn't even want to think about the word 'romance,' his best friend keeps pushing him to date. He does agree to go, but he just can't stop thinking about Vera. People usually only look at how Matt's handsome, and they never take the time to actually get to know him. But Vera treats him differently, and Matt is intrigued by that.

The writing style of this novel was very simple. It's a writing style that's very easy to read for anyone. It just flows naturally, and you feel yourself falling right into the novel. Both of the characters were very friendly people to me, and you can effortlessly fall in love with them. I found myself rooting for them from page one.

I don't think I have any negative aspects to bring up. I found this book to be very uplifting. It is definitely a book I see myself rereading in the future. Matt's and Vera's lives do differ very much, but they will come crashing together and out will come something far more beautiful than I could've imagined.

I'd recommend this to people who want something different from your typical book. It is far from just your quintessential romance book. It's a book that shows you that age is nothing but a number. Also, for people who think that nothing good could happen to you because you've been through so many bad things, this book was written exactly for you. The author wants to show us that the bad doesn't last. It's a book I can't help giving a four out of four stars to. One of the most inspiring novels I've ever had the pleasure to read.

Well written, but I don’t agree age is merely a number. If you old, you are old. Lol maybe this book can help my mindset. Beautiful review

The title and cover of the book awoke my deep interest. Giving someone second chance is kind, but not everyone deserves it. I would love to read that book. Thanks for your nice review!
