A Long Dark Rainbow,by Micheal Tappenden, is an interesting, informative slow build romance between two people who met forty years later by fate after an encounter in the past. It is about the self discovery of Alex James and a divorced Samantha Reagan in their sixties.The duo took control of their future and their pasts refocused.

Having read the description, knowing the book was about old couples, I was a bit skeptic but was later amazed by the uniqueness of the book. It wasn’t just a geriatric romance, it was a remarkable eye-opener portraying senior citizens in a new light.

No tackiness, no rush, just a slow burn between two people who completed each other and connected not just sexually but in all ways.They comforted each other,helped each other and taught each other.

The organisation of the story line was impressive, the romance was simple with no unnecessary complications.The characters’ actions were not painted perfect and were relatable. The book was very well edited and I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars.

This book is suitable for a mature audience.I recommend this book to seasoned romance readers, emotional readers, knowledge cravers and romance lovers in general.It’s a bonus to aesthetes.
