I eagerly went through this series and I loved every minute of it. There are 4 books total and it's worth every dime. Spoilers ahead!
Claire came from a broken home. She never knew her father and her other died of a heroine overdose when she was 7. She was shifted from foster home to foster home until Jackie Knight and her son Chris took her in when she was 15. For the first time she felt comfortable, at home. Chris is a musician and drops out of school to pursue his dream. They end up falling head over heals in love and keep it hidden until her 18th birthday. He ends up getting a record deal and she decides she has to let him go to live his dream. She afraid if she stays with him he will stay with her and never achieve his goal.
Honestly I don't want to say anything else because I don't want to ruin it. It is so good! I laughed, I cried A LOT and I absolutely fell in love. Cassia is an amazing writer and everyone should read this series
