Looking Glass Friends by E.L. Neve is a tale of Ellie and Neil. Set in 1997 in Washington State. Two people destined for each other, bond over their shared love of poems, books, and all things philosophy.

When Ellie brings the mysterious employee of Bake4U , her favorite book, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rands as a thank you gift for getting her the last container of cream puffs that her son Johnny loves, she never expected the friendship that forms. Neil is in a dark place and is disconnected from his wife Fay. Ellie and Neil create a friendship over the course of a few weeks and realized that they both are starting to develop feelings for each other. After they decided to end their friendship for awhile, they both realized it was never just lust. That is was love. Two soulmates who finally found one another. Ellie has some reservations about leaving her husband and disrupting the life that her son was use to. Once Ellie learns of what her husband, Jake, has been doing for years behind her back, she decides it's time to move on. Will her decision be worth it? Dive into this amazing romance/ mystery and find out!

E.L. Neve is a new author to me and an amazing writer who knows how to keep their reading audience on the edge of their seats. The character development is amazing and you get so much detail, that it paints such a vivid picture of each and every character in this book. Just when you think you know how a chapter is going to end, or just when you think you know what is going to happen, E.L. Neve throws you for a curveball you never saw coming.

This book was engaging and the perfect book for a rainy Saturday night, with a fire going and coffee brewing. My favorite character would have to be Fay. She's an amazing woman, out into a impossible situation and she made the best of it. She's a woman who knows her worth and is not going to settle for anything less than she deserves. Jake was my least favorite character for reasons you'll understand once you pick this book up! There is no profanity, or excessive sex scenes, which makes this the perfect book for someone looking for a great mystery/ plot.

The only candid thing I can say about this book is, I wish there would have been a little bit more of background detail. A little bit of their past before they got to that point in their life that this book focuses on. That being said, I still find this book to be a worthy read and you should defiantly give it a chance.

Therefore, I rate Looking Glass friends 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to fans of romance and people looking for a little mystery with their romance.
