The Looking Glass Friends by E.L. Neve, was magical. It reminded me of reading a historical author's poems and playwrights. While stuck in marriages that were just not meant to be, with people who weren't right for each other, the characters were pleading with life to hand them something new and exciting. The main characters simply could not live life without each other as time continues on in the book. It made me root for their relationship by each turn of the page. The love spreading between two strangers in this book is a different take on randomly meeting your soulmate.

A positive from the book was, romance in a new light. There was enough friendship turned to love with each email wrote, that you could feel their relationship growing. It was easy to guess they would find love between themselves, partly because they shared so much likeness. They bonded over poems, books and literal life, stuck in loveless marriages. The book was well written and easy to follow along, which leads me to another positive, not being able to put the book down. I had an eager fascination of wanting to find out what happens next in the following chapter, that I just kept reading and waiting for the next email to be written.

I found nothing negative about this book.

I give this book a 4 out of 4 stars. It was a romantic story that included, drama, love and a lifetime of possibilities for all of the characters. I truly love happy endings. This book had everything you'd want in a romance novel, without the heavy sexual content.

I recommend this book to the romantics, lovers of historical works expressing love and for the persons who enjoy a light read with a hint of everyday life turned into a new and happy ending.
