Ever wondered what happens if you meet a person who claims to know in and out about you, and you have no clue who he is? Is it not bizarre to hear your own story from a stranger you don’t know? Well, something like this happens with the protagonist of this book, who calls himself Stolid.

The book, Stolid, is a fictional work, written by Aaron D Key. It is a romantic novel covered with mysteries. This is the third book of The Wheel Of Eight Series but can be read as a stand-alone. It has a total of 259 pages, divided into 13 chapters.

This is a story of a man whose desire is to become Stolid. So with this motive, he hides his actual name from the world since he was a child. However, adulthood hits him in a different way that forces him to flood to another place, where he meets an unknown man, who starts sharing memories with Stolid. But Stolid does not remember talking to that man ever. As time passes, the mystery grows. So, do you want to know who that stranger is? Do you want to know what happens to Stolid later? If yes, then this book is a must-read for you.

I highly appreciate the author’s imagination and creativity. The mysteries, twists, and turns in this book are amazing. The best part of this book is the author’s choice of words. He has beautifully explained the scenes and scenery. A few of my favorite lines are, “The world was like a beautiful woman decked out to please herself, not obtrusive visitors. The sky was a lavish blue draped with strings of pearls.” I am not able to get myself out of the similes and metaphors used in this book. It is simply outstanding. Not just that, but the plot of this story is quite engaging too. Especially the conversation between Stolid and the stranger.

Overall, this was a unique read. I did enjoy reading this. There is nothing that I disliked about this. The book seems to be well-edited, as I just found a couple of minor and negligible errors in it. With that being said, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I have no strong reason to rate this any lower.

This book does contain profanity and obscenity. So, it is not suitable for people who are sensitive to such content. But I do recommend this book to people who enjoy reading different kinds of romantic stories. This is also suitable for those who like suspense and mystery novels.
