Looking Glass Friends centers around the love story of Ellie & Neil and how their souls found each other. It begins when Ellie gifts Neil a book while he is working at a local bakery. Neil is very depressed and both he and Ellie are unhappy in their marriages. Ellie's gift drastically changes Neil's life and he begins emailing Ellie to discuss Ayn Rand's novel, Atlas Shrugged. Both soon discover they are able to communicate things to each other that they can not in their own marriages, and begin to fall in love. Ellie has a five-year-old son and wonders how his world would change if she follows her heart.

A great positive aspect is that there are two other main characters included in this book that keep the story worth reading. Jake, Ellie's rich husband that doesn't want to let her go. Fay, Neil's wife, who is described as not putting much effort into her looks, but loves her husband very much. The author also goes into detail how both are feeling when they find out their spouses are talking to someone else. Ellie & Neil lives are described as total opposites, but their souls are meant for each other. Can Ellie risk changing her son's world for her own happiness?

I did not find any negative aspects to Looking Glass Friends. While this is a romance novel, it is also about finding the one person placed on this earth just for you. Even though Ellie & Neil are both married, you find yourself waiting and wondering if true love will prevail.

E.L. Neve wrote Looking Glass Friends inspired by real letters. It is a 15-times Award-winning love story and when you finish reading it, you will greatly understand why. I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. The book comes in hardcover, paperback, and audible. I chose the audible version so I could approach this book from a different angle. The narrator did an amazing job on not only reading the story, but also capturing the voices and emotions of each character. I did not find any errors while listening and it kept me intrigued with every chapter.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to read about a true love story. Not only for the romance but also the poetry of the author's words and how detailed every character was. She gave us backgrounds for each and seemed to bring them to life through her story.
