Fledgling Angel is the second book in the series of "The Midnight Angel." This is a fascinating short story written by C.R.Burlow.

The story revolves around a lady named Rebecca, who is recently transformed into an angel by another angel, her fiancé Samuel. They are madly in love with each other until one day before their wedding, Samuel introduces Rebecca to his three other wives - Sinead, Nykei, and Michelle. This introduction shakes her trust in Samuel, and she gets furious. Trying to bring back her trust in him, Michelle explains to her that his marriage to the other three wives was only to increase their angelic powers, and it had nothing to do with love. Finding it hard to believe she asks Michelle to leave her alone. When she was all alone, a demon attacks her, and if it were not for Samuel and his three wives who entered the scene, she might have been killed. The traumatized Rebecca decides to get married to Samuel, irrespective of the fact that he hid the truth about being married thrice, to get his protection from demons. But on the day of the wedding, she secretly runs away to her ex-husband Ash, and daughter Katie without telling Samuel. On finding out that Rebecca has turned into an angel, Ash tries to act normal. Katie, on the other hand, is ecstatic looking at her mom's wings. Finally, one day Rebecca calls Samuel to inform him that she is safe and to apologize for leaving him. Samuel gets furious and doesn't call her again. Soon, Rebecca's angelic powers start making appearances: She is able to know about the mental condition of another human being by just looking at them. But there is something unexpected in store for her; she realizes that Katie is able to communicate with the dead, but Rebecca hides this from Ash. She does not understand how is this happening, but she doesn't give it a lot of thoughts. To add to her miseries, one day the same demon attacks her when she is alone with Katie.

Will she survive this attack? Will she be able to save her daughter from the demon? How did demon know her whereabouts? Is she going to forgive Samuel? Is there more to the story than what meets Rebecca's eyes? One must read this action and emotion packed fictional book written by C.R.Burlow, to find out the answers.

For the readers who admire the perfect combination of fantasy, emotion and action, Fledgling Angel is definitely a treat. I could not believe how awestruck I was when I finished reading this book. I can not wait for its sequel to come. The book is written in an enticing and engaging tone and the events flow beautifully, one after another. I have nothing but only an utmost respect for the author's writing. I can surely see a movie being produced based on this book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because this book does not lack anything. Every action scene is scribbled to include only the required details, and therefore, readers who do not enjoy action much, will also not feel bored. Also, emotions are described only to capture the sentiments of the characters, and not with the intention to aimlessly filling pages. I recommend this short and exciting book to every book lover. You will not regret reading it and soon you will be recommending it to others.
