Cassidy Quinn and her best friend Emma are in their early twenties. They moved to York Beach, Maine, during the summer of 2001. The girl's main reason for going to York Beach is to make enough money to pay for their college tuition. Cassidy finds more than a quick summer job when she meets Sean Anderson. Sean lives with his grandfather in this three-story cottage that holds a lot of memories. Having gone through past family trauma, Cassidy finds solace in Sean and Grandpa. Cassidy and Sean, eventually, start dating, but can it truly stand the test of time? You’ll have to get this book to find out.

The Hundredth Time Around by Stacy Lee is a romance novel that spans many decades of a love story that occurred at the Anderson family cottage. Cassidy’s and Sean’s love story faces extinction at the closing of the summer because Cassidy has to go back to college in Boston, Massachusetts. No matter what occurs in both of these young lovers' lives, that cottage in York Beach holds a special place in their hearts. Not to give much away, but another love story (besides Cassidy’s and Sean’s) is going to take center stage in this novel.

I’m glad I picked up this book that took me through the different life experiences of these characters. Usually, romance novels strictly focus on the female protagonist's life and use her male partner as her sexual conqueror, with no true backstory. Thankfully, Stacy Lee did a proper analysis of Cassidy and Sean as individuals by taking a peek into their minds and thoughts.

Stacy Lee crafted a superb story that left me shocked. Initially, I thought this was going to be a love story between these two characters, but it took a deeper dive that I was not ready for. I love the surprising nature of newfound information in this story because it kept me riveted. I’m imploring anyone who is an avid reader of romance novels and wants to read one with twists and turns on every page to get this book.

I had an enjoyable reading experience with this novel. Even though the book bounced from the present, future, and past, I could keep up with the order of events. Most romance novels are usually based on sexual exploration and lewd conversations, but this one is more heartfelt. This is just the first book in the author The Nubble Light series and I cannot wait to read the others that follow. I have no qualms with the storyline or the author's direction with the story. It was perfect. Although I found two minor errors, they did not distract me while reading. I’m giving this professionally-edited book 5 out of 5 stars.
