Aaron D. Key is the author of the book titled Stolid which is a romance fiction book. He discusses the difficulties that are faced by a person who identifies as gay, which were made all the more difficult for someone living in 1980s England. Do you believe being a homosexual man today is difficult? You can only imagine how much more difficult it was then. Stolid struggled with the same issues that many LGBT people do: self-discovery and self-acceptance.

The primary character narrates the book in the first person. The story begins when the main character (Stolid), who was hitchhiking, is picked up by a stranger who seemed somewhat familiar to him, but he is unable to recall where or whether they had previously met. Stolid was so intrigued by the stranger, who pushed him to
talk in-depth about his life, including his relationships, his losses, and the period of rebellion when he ran away from home. He characterized the majority of his interpersonal relationships as unproductive, toxic, and unsatisfactory. The book focuses more on the emotions of the characters than their gay relationships.

The question is whether he can remember how he met the stranger and if he ever came to his senses. If so, how did he accomplish that? I think it's necessary to keep an open mind in order to enjoy and appreciate this book because the subject matter is contentious; read on to the conclusion to learn more. It will be worth your time and every penny.
The book's captivating and rather engaging nature, which is a plus. It also has the advantage of being engrossing and highly interesting, which makes you want to keep reading to find out about the intriguing outcome of the narrative. I also believe that the plot progresses well; the author has done well in developing the story and did not disappoint.
The book is well-written and well edited and therefore easy to read and comprehend.

I will give it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, as I had previously mentioned, it is a captivating, read.
Anyone who is struggling to define who they are or to fit in at home or within the community should read this book, and anyone who deviates from what society views as normal may find inspiration in this story. I would urge any person who chooses to read the book to exercise some patience.
