STORY LINE:

Sebastian Reed has been appointed CEO of Reed Publishing by his father. He is handsome, rich, well-known, has an active social life with many women in his life. However he has a problem; his father's long time secretary, Marie, is retiring. Sebastian must find and hire a new secretary to facilitate his running of the family business. After numerous applicants, Sebastian can not find a replacement that suits him. Enter, Ellie Jennings from stage right. Her moxie during her interview impressed Marie; she hired Ellie without consulting Sebastian.

Come along as Sebastian and Ellie journey through work and attraction.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

Author Sofia Madrigal, created a very sexual character in Sebastian who grows in this story. I really did not care for Sebastian in the beginning of book, however by the end I was impressed. Sebastian is attracted to Ellie and fighting to keep their relationship on a professional level.

Ellie has her own issues; one is her attraction to her boss.

There are a several plots in this book. I will not reveal these as they would be spoilers.

The pacing and development of the book was on target for the length of story. Ms. Madrigal's story was a short easy book to read introducing Ellie and Sebastian for a new series.

The novella thorough short is well written. Ms. Madirgal sex scene in the first chapter was hot and steamy; however this story did not depend upon explicit to sale the story-line. Actually the only sex scene is in the beginning of the book. The balance of the book is a story of attraction and dancing around the elephant in the room. This book does have an interesting cliff-hanger at the end. I am sure book two will take off at the end of this book as the story continues.

RECOMMENDATION:

If you do not care for explicit sex and sexual language this novella may not be for you. Personally, if it is too explicit for me, I just skip over those parts. I recommend this book for adults due to sexual content. It is an easy to read short book with a good story-line of interoffice attraction.

I received this book from the author in return for an honest book review.
