Killjoy by Julie Garwood focuses on Avery Delaney and her attempt to find her missing aunt while learning of potential threats to her own life. Garwood doe a great job and giving the main character depth and the ability to stand up for herself and not require the need for someone else to save her at all times. Her characters are dynamic and watching the changes in each over the course of the book is very satisfying.
