More Songs to Listen to at Midnight by Kewayne Wadley is a fantastic collection of poems. The poems all have the underlying theme of love. Some describe the way he feels when in love, how it feels to lose the love, and many other aspects of the love he has felt in his life. He makes comparisons between his love’s smile being better than fireworks. He writes about home being with the person you love. He writes about the calm being the person he is with and how their love can heal him. The poems vary in titles and the comparisons being made, but they always come back to love and how that love has made him feel. The author has a way of writing that, even though he has lost love, you feel that he is better for it. He is facing heartbreak, but he can still write about his love beautifully. He sees the beauty and light that come from this relationship.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 rating. The poems in this book were all really enjoyable to read. My favorites were “Untitled,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Party,” and “The Valley of Your Smile.” I like the way that the author writes and expresses himself. The love that he feels is palpable in each of his poems. I like that you can feel what the author was going through and how deep his love ran in those moments. I like that the poems were all fairly short, as I feel this makes them easier to follow. The book was edited well, with very few mistakes. There was not much that I did not like about this book. A couple of the poems were sexual and left me wondering if that was his intent. The only other thing I was not a big fan of was that he would use the & sign and the word "and" throughout each of his poems without much consistency.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in reading poetry. It is a fantastic collection of poems that can help you believe in love and the greatness it can provide. This book is good for those who are in love or for those who have lost love.
